Mississippi calls its service MS SAVIN, the Statewide Automated Victim Information and Notification system. MDOC says it tracks MDOC offenders and people held by participating county jails. No official county-by-county list found in the research affirmatively names Rankin County, so participation must be tested in the live Mississippi search rather than promised.

A released or out-of-custody result can corroborate what a participating agency reported. Obtain the Sheriff movement entry for a county jail exit, MDOC documentation for a state event, or the signed court order for the legal disposition.
Register for Rankin Release Alerts

MS SAVIN Victim Enrollment
Direct victims and survivors of an MDOC offender have a separate official route through the MDOC Division of Victim Services enrollment. MDOC states that completing it automatically registers SAVIN. This support channel is distinct from open public self-registration and should not be promised to every casual searcher.

VINE Is Not the Registry
The Mississippi Sex Offender Registry is a separate post-release system that applies only to people with a statutory registration duty. A registry result can show continuity after release for that narrow class, but it does not provide the Rankin jail’s exit time or release reason.
Most released people have no registry duty. A registry no-result therefore says nothing about whether a person was incarcerated, released, transferred, or discharged.

When several agencies appear for one person, register only after opening the intended record.
