The Sheriff’s location operates continuously. Published administrative and property-release hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Those hours are not a promised inmate-discharge schedule. Documentary requests require the county form, photo identification copy, a $10 check, and mail or hand delivery. Fax and email are not accepted.
Start with the office that created the event. A jail release, court order, MDOC discharge, supervision assignment, and federal transfer are separate records.
- For a former county detainee or sheriff release record, begin with the Rankin released-inmate search and records path, then contact the Sheriff’s records official.
- For parole, probation, or earned-release supervision, use Post-Release Supervision and the Rankin Community Corrections office at 3350 Highway 468 West, Pearl, MS 39208, 601-936-5180.
- For same-day departures, use the 24-Hour Releases fallback because Rankin does not publish a verified recent-release feed.
- For a state sentence date, consult Release Date Lookup; for a custody-change alert, use the VINE Inmate Check.
- For a specific institution or program, select its facility page in the footer and use the operator named there.
- For a sentenced Mississippi prisoner, search MDOC and use its written public-record portal. MDOC does not accept telephone public-record requests.
