Terms Entered in Search
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates the tool. Rankin County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages Sent to Us
An email or contact message may be retained long enough to answer the request and keep a normal correspondence record. It is not shared beyond the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Standard web systems can record basic technical details when a page loads:

- The referring page, when supplied

Links lead to Rankin release records, Sheriff and MDOC pages, government portals, and outside search tools. Once a visitor follows one, that service’s privacy terms govern the visit.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to observe activity across websites and select interest-based ads. Their collection does not occur on systems controlled by this site.

Personal information is not sold. Limited data may be available to:
- Search partners that process a submitted query
